Biography
Daniel Livingstone and Mark D’Angelo, ‘Livingstone’, are a singer/song writing duo, the pair met on a friends project and through their mutual love and admiration of jazz and classical music, collaborated to write a song together. The result was an uncategorisable mix of pop coupled with electronic beats, smooth and enticing vocals with R&B elements.

From this chance collaboration, the singer/song writing duo seem to have found their musical match in each other forming ‘Livingstone’.

Son to an Anglican Minister Dan took a slightly different path studying Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz vocals and played in several bands on the Melbourne Jazz scene. Influenced by artists ranging from Sinatra to Stevie Wonder, he took the transition from playing Jazz to singing in nightclubs around Melbourne with numerous DJ’s. Taking a short break from music for a few years to manage several fashion labels and model, he has reignited his first love – music – and has not looked back since.

Mark has always loved music and knew it was his career from the early age of seven. He studied at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music as well as receiving a Bachelor of Music Composition from Melbourne University (VCA). With his childhood friends he was part of the band ‘Hercules in NY’ and was a Triple J featured artist playing at festivals such as Groovin the Moo, Stereosonic. Good Vibrations and Bass in the Grass.

Working with great producers such as Tony Espie and Chris Thompson, Mark has since spent the last few years mastering his own production skills with the guidance of James Ash (Rogue Traders).

Now producing, recording and mixing in their own studio, ‘Livingstone’ are currently writing their first album and have their sights set on the big bright lights of the world stages!
